Matt Ball, Director of Corporate Affairs
Matt Ball has more than 11 years as an experienced operative in Oklahoma politics with a proven track record of building effective coalitions through grassroots engagement, managing winning political campaigns, and crafting results-oriented lobbying strategies that deliver for clients.
As Director of Corporate Affairs for CMA, Ball serves as the leading voice and lobbyist at the Oklahoma State Capitol for multiple Fortune 100 companies where he plans, directs, and executes comprehensive legislative strategies that leverage the strategic political environment to obtain measurable positive public policy and regulatory outcomes for corporate clients.
Prior to joining CMA, Ball served as the State Director for Americans for Prosperity, Oklahoma’s largest grassroots advocacy organization for economic freedom and free market ideals. Ball has managed multiple winning legislative races, including the reelection campaign of incumbent Senate Appropriations committee chairman Sen. Clark Jolley and the general election campaign for House Floor Leader Rep. Jason Nelson. Matt also served on U.S. Senator Tom Coburn’s staff for 8 years where he served as the Senator’s public liaison across Oklahoma and served on Coburn’s initial 2004 U.S. Senate campaign staff, one of the most successful grassroots campaigns in state history.
Ball holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science (International Affairs) from the University of Central Oklahoma, Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University in Political Science and a graduate certificate in International Affairs (Intelligence) from the George H.W. Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University.
